Manyavar approached me to document the people and processes behind their craftsmanship, not just the final garments, but the journey that brings them to life.
We travelled across Kolkata and Varanasi, visiting everything from small, home-style workspaces to large factories with heavy machinery. The aim was to showcase the full spectrum, the hands, the tools, the effort that goes into creating each piece.
From candid portraits of artisans at work to detailed shots of machines in motion, this series captures the heart of the process: the people who make it all possible.
